In this module, you will learn more about Beverly’s integrated approach to the baby’s physical, social, and cognitive development through movement.
This Baby Social Module is based on documented baby research by the Instructor and her second book Your Self-Motivated Baby in the First Six Months. Beverly has developed a unique, integrated developmental movement framework for understanding a baby’s expressive communication in social interactions. This developmental foundation nurtures a healthy happy, and self-motivated baby.
In this module, you will learn more about Beverly’s integrated approach to the baby’s physical, social, and cognitive development through movement. Our courses for educators are based on three fundamental areas, embodied movement, expressive communication and exploratory learning, and the instructor’s experience coaching parents with babies.
By actively participating in this interactive module, you will learn: • To develop your observation skills of the baby’s expressive preverbal communication in their back-and-forth play with caregivers.
• The different parent body positions in FloorMoves that encourages face-to-face interactions with their baby.
• How to support the baby’s motivation to be an active participant and to take the lead in their social interactions.
• How to develop the baby’s confidence in their actions when you focus on what the baby is interested in.
This is the baby’s preverbal expressive foundation for the development of their social communication skills in their growing relationships.
